The paddy power weeder is a light weight machine that's used to remove weeds organically in paddy farms that have used a transplanter during the planting stage. Not only does it remove weeds, but it also dislodges soil near the roots for better aeration and helps sunlight reach the roots. This results in 40% yield increase as per TNAU's reports.
It is suitable for row gaps of 200, 250 and 300 mm. It is powered by a 2 stroke engine.
